Seekuparai (also spelled Seeku Parai) is the postcard viewpoint of Kolli Hills. From its rocky perch you can see across three districts — Namakkal, Salem and Trichy — with views extending 100+ km on a clear day. On a misty morning the clouds roll right up to the railing, and at dawn the sky lights up in orange, pink and gold.
Reaching the best spot involves a short, roughly 30-minute walk through eucalyptus groves and shola forest from the parking area, so wear comfortable shoes.
Tips
- Go before sunrise — early visibility beats sunset, and haze builds by mid-morning.
- There are rock seating areas and a small park — a calm spot popular for meditation.
- Small stalls sell tea, snacks and local fruit nearby.
- Hold on to children near the unfenced edges.
